Libby took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Flathead Braves/Bravettes. This was payback for the Loggers, who suffered a 13-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Carmen Kohler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dakota Allen, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Vincent, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
