The Lower Lake Trojans are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Oroville Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on December 14th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Monday, Lower Lake suffered a tough 43-22 defeat at the hands of Kelseyville.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Oroville had to settle for a 42-40 loss against Paradise on Monday.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Serenity Miller, who scored ten points along with three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Rachel Bone was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Oroville were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Lower Lake has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Oroville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Lower Lake came up short against Oroville in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 40-31. Can Lower Lake avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
