After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln, Valley Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Wolves. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.
Jack Grexton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Jeremiah Pritchard was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Louden Carter was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
