Having just played yesterday, the San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions will get right back to it and host the West Valley Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. on December 20th. Hopefully San Jacinto Leadership Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, San Jacinto Leadership Academy beat Packinghouse Christian Academy 44-31.
San Jacinto Leadership Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Braidyn Thomas, who scored six points along with 25 rebounds, and Jordyn Crawford , who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. The contest was Crawford 's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abiigail Malak, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, West Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 58-26 defeat at the hands of Tahquitz. While losing is never fun, West Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1208th, while Tahquitz is ranked 406th).
San Jacinto Leadership Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for West Valley, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-5 record last season and are now at 0-3.
