Joseph Rumbaoa looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single walk in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Laguna Creek's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ian Larot, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was Larot's first of the season.
Laguna Creek pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Laguna Creek's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: East Union hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326.
