In what's become a running theme this season, the Leuzinger Olympians gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They breezed by Beverly Hills on the road to the tune of 75-7. Given Leuzinger's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Beverly Hills is ranked 362nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dresha Moore continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Madison Watts, who scored 15 points along with five steals and two blocks.
Leuzinger's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 50.67 points. As for Beverly Hills, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leuzinger will square off against Bonita Vista at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Bonita Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Thursday. As for Beverly Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Imperial at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
