Softball Recap: Bishop Neumann Has No Trouble Against Guardian Angels Central Catholic

Bishop Neumann was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on Tuesday. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Bluejays with a sharp 8-1 victory. Considering the Cavaliers have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Addison Sylliaasen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since September 4th.

In other batting news, Aubree Milliken was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Bishop Neumann's record now sits at 18-8. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, they dropped their record down to 16-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bishop Neumann is set to take on their familiar foe Twin River on Thursday. Meanwhile, Guardian Angels Central Catholic will face off against rival Wayne at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
