The Pike Central Chargers won against the Wood Memorial Trojans last Friday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Pike Central took down Wood Memorial 56-42. Winning may never get old, but Pike Central sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pike Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quade Morton, who scored 22 points along with two steals. Morton hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Julian Gish was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Pike Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Wood Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Pike Central's homestand continues as they prepare to take on North Knox at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Wood Memorial, they will head out on the road to challenge Barr-Reeve at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Barr-Reeve is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.
