Baseball Recap: Alisal Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Alisal put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They didn't even let the Gonzales Spartans on the board, marking the Trojans' second-straight 10-0 shutout. Considering the Trojans have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Alisal has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Gonzales, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Alisal is taking a road trip to square off against North Monterey County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 2.8, the Condors 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Gonzales does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
