The Royalton Royals lost against the Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Royalton was beaten by Eden Valley-Watkins 52-6. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Royalton in their matchups with Eden Valley-Watkins: they've now lost five in a row.
Leading Eden Valley-Watkins to victory were Nolan Geislinger and Wyatt Moehrle. Geislinger threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, while Moehrle picked up 186 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Max Geislinger, who rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Royalton's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Eden Valley-Watkins, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Royalton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eden Valley-Watkins will take on Holdingford at TBD on Friday. Holdingford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Eden Valley-Watkins is ranked eighth).
