The East Windsor Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Cheney Tech Chargers at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. East Windsor is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
Stafford hit East Windsor with a four-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell 9-6 to the Bulldogs. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 4-0 in the first period.

Sam Glemboski put in work no matter where he played. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Elias Jacobs made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs and two doubles. Dominic Ludwig also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cheney Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Parish Hill on Thursday. Considering the Chargers have won four games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Like East Windsor, Cheney Tech also got a great game from a two-way player: Ben Milvae. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Milvae was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
In other pitching news, Gavin Hoynes looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
Back at the plate, Thomas Fortunato was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Cheney Tech is undefeated when Fortunato posts two or more runs, but 1-5 otherwise. Malik Mendez was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Cheney Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Cheney Tech is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for East Windsor, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. East Windsor has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cheney Tech struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
East Windsor was able to grind out a solid win over Cheney Tech when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
