The Hanford Bullpups won the last time they faced the Tulare Union The Tribe, and things went their way on Friday too. Hanford came out on top against Tulare Union by a score of 38-26. That's two games straight that Hanford has won by exactly 12 points.
Kenyah Stubbs was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and six steals. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hanford's points. Another player making a difference was Jaaylah Capers, who scored three points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Tulare Union lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mason Hatton, who scored four points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailee Gilbert, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Hanford and bumps their season record up to 8-10. As for Tulare Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
Hanford will head out on the road to challenge Tulare Western at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tulare Union won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Shafter at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th. Shafter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Tulare Union likes a good challenge.
