Harrison Strange made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anderson Bloodworth, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Central Georgia Arts' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 9-1 (and 8-11 when he doesn't). Cherokee Christian let Colton Messer and Charlie Goodwin run wild. Messer went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Goodwin went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. John Sturniolo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Central Georgia Arts is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cherokee Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
