After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hamilton, the Maxwell Panthers were happy to have found some success on Friday. Williams lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mia Rivera, who scored eight points along with 16 rebounds and two blocks. Lupita Zuniga was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Maxwell's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. As for Williams, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maxwell will take on CORE Butte at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
