The Tomball Cougars lost to the Magnolia West Mustangs back in February of 2019, but the Tomball Cougars didn't allow the Magnolia West Mustangs the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Tomball came out on top against Magnolia West by a score of 50-39. The win made it back-to-back wins for Tomball.
Among those leading the charge was Kylee Symons, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Megan Zullo, who scored 3 points along with 6 steals.
Tomball has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Magnolia West, the last time they won on the road was back back in November. Having now lost four straight away matches, they've bumped their record down to 11-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tomball will challenge Klein at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Klein will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 548th, while Tomball is ranked 183rd). As for Magnolia West, they will head out on the road to face off against A&M Consolidated at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
