Miramonte has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Saturday. They will face off against the Redwood Giants at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Miramonte focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
Miramonte's 24-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 58-42 bruising from Salesian College Preparatory.
The losing side was boosted by Karena Eberts, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Julia Quinn Ferguson was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Redwood beat Analy 46-33 on Tuesday. The win was just what Redwood needed coming off of a 69-30 loss in their prior matchup.
Berean Christian's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Miramonte's loss dropped theirs to 2-3.
Miramonte was able to grind out a solid win over Redwood in their previous meeting back in February, winning 54-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miramonte since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
