Chaparral had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 24-point drubbing they dealt Murrieta Mesa on Friday. The Chaparral Pumas were the clear victor by a 59-35 margin over the Murrieta Mesa Rams. The Pumas have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Chaparral got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexa Ava Li out in front who went 6 for 13 on her way to 15 points along with seven assists and three steals. That's the most points Li has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Zetta Faasua, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Chaparral pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Murrieta Mesa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
