The Ridgemont Golden Gophers's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They secured a 32-27 W over Cory-Rawson. This was payback for Ridgemont, who suffered a 57-25 loss the last time these two teams met.
Ridgemont got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayda Dondrea out in front who scored four points along with 18 rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruth Eckstein, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.
Ridgemont's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Cory-Rawson, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Ridgemont will face off against Riverdale at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Riverdale will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Ridgemont surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cory-Rawson, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Arcadia at 12:30 p.m. Cory-Rawson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 637th, while Arcadia is ranked 242nd).
