The Neshannock Lancers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Ellwood City by a score of 61-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Neshannock.
Ellwood City lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Claire Noble, who scored 18 points. The matchup was Noble's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kayla Jones, who scored 17 points.
Neshannock's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-3. As for Ellwood City, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-4.
Neshannock will take on Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Laurel will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 580th, while Neshannock is ranked 244th). As for Ellwood City, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
