The Monroe City Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Mark Twain by a score of 67-60. The victory was just what Monroe City needed coming off of a 43-23 loss in their prior game.
When it comes to explaining why Mark Twain lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sam Northcutt. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Northcutt's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Dotson, who scored ten points.
The win got Monroe City back to even at 3-3. As for Mark Twain, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe City will square off against North Shelby at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mark Twain, they will head out on the road to face off against Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
