The Washougal Panthers were the 62-50 winner over the Fort Vancouver Trappers when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. 2024 welcomed Washougal with a 61-39 loss courtesy of Fort Vancouver on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Washougal still got an impressive performance from Holden Bea, who scored 20 points. The matchup was Bea's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Multanen, who scored six points.
Washougal has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Fort Vancouver, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
Washougal will head out on the road to face off against Mark Morris at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Mark Morris is ranked 207th, while Washougal is ranked 211th). As for Fort Vancouver, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome R.A. Long at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th. R.A. Long is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
