The Tulpehocken Trojans lost against the Brandywine Heights Area Bullets back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Tulpehocken ended up on the wrong side of a tough 40-18 walloping at the hands of Brandywine Heights Area. Tulpehocken was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-3.
Brandywine Heights Area's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Benner led the charge by scoring ten points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dana Wartenluft, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Tulpehocken's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Brandywine Heights Area, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.
Tulpehocken will be playing in front of their home fans against Schuylkill Haven at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Schuylkill Haven presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tulpehocken in Pennsylvania (Schuylkill Haven is ranked 196th, while Tulpehocken is ranked 663rd). As for Brandywine Heights Area, they will head out on the road to take on Oley Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oley Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Brandywine Heights Area likes a good challenge.
