The Sonora Wildcats entered their tilt with the Calaveras Red Hawks with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Sonora narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Calaveras 42-40. For Sonora, this counts as revenge for the 37-33 loss Calaveras walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Sonora's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Faught, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Adeline Hanson, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Sonora is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. As for Calaveras, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.
Sonora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Calaveras also has no future games currently scheduled.
