Highland hasn't had much luck against Twin Falls recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rams will host the Bruins at 2:00 p.m. Highland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Highland fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Centennial on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 7-6.
Highland got a good showing from Aiden Ellett, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits.

Meanwhile, Twin Falls is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Willamette. The Bruins came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wolverines, sneaking past 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Jordan BIngham tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hoyt Murray, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.
Twin Falls is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Highland, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Highland's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's matchup. The Rams have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Twin Falls, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Highland continue to outrun the ball?
