Silas Urtiaga was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Those 15 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. He has become a key player for Academy of Careers & Exploration: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-8 otherwise.
