Harvard-Westlake lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Valentina Guerrero, who scored ten points. Deana Thompson was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Harvard-Westlake's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-15. As for Sierra Canyon, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.
Harvard-Westlake will head out on the road to face off against Alemany at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alemany is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Sierra Canyon, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Valencia at 5:30 p.m. Valencia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 454th, while Sierra Canyon is ranked second).
