Coming off a slow week in basketball as the teams gear up for the playoffs, now is a great time to reflect on the season and pose a few questions that may or may not be answered in the coming weeks.
Will Jesuit ever lose?
Come to think of it, will El Camino ever lose?
Why isn't Jesuit ranked nationally?
How good will Rio Americano's junior sensation Drake Uu be next year? Or the year after that?
How good will Drake Uu's team be next year?
If El Camino's Keith Arrington played El Camino's Melvin Fleming one-on-one, who would win? And how good would Arrington be if he didn't miss last season with a knee injury?
Is Jesuit's James Edwards the areas player of the year?
If he isn't, who is?
Will the areas champion actually come from Stockton? Can you say Brookside Christian?
Whose better, the Sac High boys (21-5) or the Sac High girls (23-3)?
Has anyone noticed Colfax has only lost one game all year? Are they the best team you haven't read about?
Ever hear of the Sacramento Metro league? If not, wake up, league-leading Sacramento Adventist of Carmichael has won 19 out of 20.
With so much attention on Rocklin have you forgotten about Granite Bay? The Grizzles, who are 22-4, are leading the Sierra Foothill League thanks to a Jan. 5 beat down of Rocklin.
Speaking of the Sierra Foothill League, did you know Roseville's Elston Turner leads the SFL in every major offensive category? If the name sounds familiar, Elston Turner is the very talented son of former Kings assistant Elston Turner.
Natomas lost one game by two points and may be the best team in Sacramento next to Jesuit. With a team full of juniors, look for another strong Nighthawks squad a year from now .
Can El Camino win in the playoffs? Not if they don't stop giving up so many offensive rebounds.

Is Vicki Baugh the best player this area has seen? Ever?
Is Sac High beatable with Vicki Baugh at full strength? No!

Can El Camino recreate the magic of the Eagle teams from the mid-1990's?
You have to feel for Mira Loma (2-22) and Rosemont (3-20), who have to play El Camino, Sacramento, Grant, and McClatchy multiple times, respectively.
Where is El Camino's Lisa Peterson going to school and why is she so underrated?
Kennedy is 24-3. Did you know that? I didn't.
McClatchy could give a lot of teams a lot of problems in the playoffs.
