Beverly Hills waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors.

Joe Rendon and Cameron Park did most of the damage at the plate: Rendon scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Park scored a run while going 2-for-4. Ty Sayles also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Beverly Hills' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beverly Hills will head out to take on Lawndale at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Normans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Verbum Dei Jesuit at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
