The Pacheco Panthers came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Enochs 41-39.
Sasha S siemiller was her usual excellent self, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jeanette Ortiz, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Pacheco is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Enochs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing East Union the next time they take the court. Pacheco will head out to face East Union at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Enochs will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
