Mulvane won the last time they faced Independence and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats blew past the Bulldogs, posting a 39-6 victory.

Mulvane pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.8 points over those games. As for Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Mulvane will welcome Circle on Friday. As for Independence, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Field Kindley at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
