The Lincoln Mustangs had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points), and they went ahead and made it 12 on Monday. They claimed a resounding 57-9 win over Balboa at home. Lincoln has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.
Lincoln's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shridavi Raghavan, who scored 11 points. Ciara Ieremia was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Lincoln has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Balboa, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Lincoln will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Washington at 5:30 p.m. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Washington likes a good challenge. Balboa is on the road again on Wednesday and plays Galileo at 5:30 p.m. on February 7th. Galileo is on a three-game streak of home losses, Balboa a seven-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
