The Del Mar Dons waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They managed a 50-45 victory over Hill. 50 seems to be a good number for Del Mar as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Del Mar had a senior duo take command as Moana Tulua scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals and Arseama Kibrom dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Tulua has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Gabi Lopez-fifield was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 13 rebounds.
Del Mar is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Del Mar will head out on the road to face off against Westmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hill, they will be playing at home against Live Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
