Micheal Lopez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Orosi is 2-0-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-11 otherwise. In other batting news, Orosi got a massive performance out of Christopher Lopez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Lopez is becoming a predictor of the Cardinals' success: when he posts at least three hits the team is undefeated (and 7-11-1 when he doesn't). Matthew Melchor was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Orosi lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
