The Malibu Sharks lost against the Bishop Diego Cardinals back in November of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Wednesday. Malibu took a serious blow against Bishop Diego, falling  47-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Malibu has scored all season.
 When it comes to explaining why Malibu lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Casey Ovsiowitz. Despite the final result, she  scored five points along with four  blocks. Ovsiowitz scored a full 31.3% of Malibu's points, the ninth time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.
 Bishop Diego's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Jaymi Coronado led the charge by  scoring 12 points.  Galilea De la cruz was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points.
 Malibu has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost three of their last four matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Bishop Diego, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.
 Malibu will be home for the holidays to greet  Nordhoff at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Bishop Diego will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pacific Ridge at 4:00  p.m.  on December 27th. Pacific Ridge will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
