Baseball Recap: Lodi Now 12-3 over Last 15 Games

Lodi not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9th (when they won 19-0). They blew past the Kimball Jaguars 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Flames, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Santino Ramirez was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rylan Takahashi, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Lodi was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kimball only posted a batting average of .217.

Lodi has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Kimball, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Lodi will have a chance to go back-to-back against Kimball: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
