The Tyrone Golden Eagles were the 46-40 winner over the Penn Cambria Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Tyrone was the victim of a rough 65-42 loss at the hands of Penn Cambria on Friday. Tyrone was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-17.
Penn Cambria got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Makenna Mccoy out in front who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Reagan Ronan, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Tyrone has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Penn Cambria, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tyrone is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Huntingdon at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Penn Cambria, they will face off against Chestnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chestnut Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Penn Cambria is ranked 135th).
