Kamdyn Toussaint spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Isabella Mares, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Rylie Sanchez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Pine Creek put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They blew past Fountain-Fort Carson 13-0. Considering the Eagles have won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Abigail *Abby* Stenerson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kailani *Kai* Shideler was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Ahlanna Rymski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Pine Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fountain-Fort Carson only posted an OBP of .062.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Pueblo County has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Pine Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Pueblo County's way against Pine Creek when the teams last played back in August of 2024, as Pueblo County made off with a 16-1 victory. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
