Harker has gone 9-1 against Crystal Springs Uplands recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gryphons at 5:00 p.m. Harker is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Crystal Springs Uplands' hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Harker hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Eagles never let Gunderson get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Monday. Considering the Eagles have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Shaurya Jain made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Harker is 7-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Jain was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mason Brooks, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Harker's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jackson Powell, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Harker kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Crystal Springs Uplands, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out South San Francisco 3-2.
Connor Uchida and Tyler Hanebrink did most of the damage at the plate: Uchida went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double, while Hanebrink went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Hanebrink a new career-high.
Crystal Springs Uplands is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Harker, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Harker has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Crystal Springs Uplands struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
