Baseball Recap: Midtown Comes Up Short

Midtown suffered their closest defeat since March 12, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the East Coweta Indians by a score of 3-1.

Midtown got a good showing from Henry Carter, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Carter posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Lyndon Wiilliams was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Midtown's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-2. As for East Coweta, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Midtown will welcome Paideia at 5:55 p.m. on March 5th. Midtown's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Paideia's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for East Coweta, they have already played their next contest, a 12-0 victory against Alexander on the 25th.
