Even though the Simi Valley Pioneers have not done well against the Royal Highlanders recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Simi Valley simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Royal 55-24 at home. With Simi Valley ahead 38-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Simi Valley can attribute much of their success to Sahasra Anne, who scored nine points.
Simi Valley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-13. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Royal, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
Coincidentally, Simi Valley and Royal will both be playing Oak Park the next time they take the court. Simi Valley will host Oak Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Royal will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
