They claimed a resounding 62-28 win over Santa Clara at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for St. Bonaventure as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
St. Bonaventure found their leader in underclassman Sarah Cosio, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. The matchup was Cosio's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Rico, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
St. Bonaventure's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Santa Clara, they bumped their record down to 1-19 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
St. Bonaventure will take on Bishop Diego at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Diego will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Santa Clara, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Foothill Tech on Thursday.
