Baseball Recap: Foothill Extends Winning Streak to Four

Foothill had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Livermore Cowboys with a sharp 13-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Foothill let Take Sato-Kreis and Landon Comerford run wild. Sato-Kreis scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Comerford scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Sato-Kreis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Wescott, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Foothill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Livermore only posted a batting average of .290.

Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Livermore, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.

Coincidentally, Foothill and Livermore will both be playing Dublin the next time they take the field. The Cowboys will head out to face the Gaels at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Falcons will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
