Softball Recap: Hardaway Has No Trouble Against Westover

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shaw, Hardaway was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Westover Patriots with a sharp 12-4 victory. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by eight runs or more this season.

Naryah Wilson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Wilson was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run.

In other batting news, Hardaway got a big performance out of Daisia Crutchfield, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jayden Hamby, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Hardaway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westover only posted an OBP of .286.

Hardaway's record is now 4-2. As for Westover, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Hardaway didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-4 win against Kendrick on the 26th. As for Westover, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-1 loss against Bainbridge on the 26th.
