The El Camino Wildcats can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 60-48 victory over Maranatha Christian.
El Camino's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Meleiah Jones led the charge by scoring 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Hoskins, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and seven steals.
El Camino's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9. As for Maranatha Christian, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
El Camino's road trip will continue as they head out to face West Hills at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. West Hills presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than El Camino in California (West Hills is ranked 485th, while El Camino is ranked 1055th). As for Maranatha Christian, they will play host again and welcome Mount Miguel, where tip off is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
