High Tech SD hasn't had much luck against Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Storm will head out on the road to take on the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as High Tech SD comes in on five and Lincoln on three.
High Tech SD let Hoover stack five runs on them in the seventh inning on Thursday but luckily High Tech SD prevailed anyway. The Storm won by a run and slipped past the Cardinals 6-5. That's two games straight that the Storm have won by just one run.
Devon Caris looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Landon Carroll was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for High Tech SD: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Mikey Ortiz, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
High Tech SD was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Lincoln hadn't done well against Canyon Hills recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Hornets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Rattlers.
The team relied heavily on Dominic Mendoza, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Lincoln pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for High Tech SD, their record now sits at 7-5.
High Tech SD came up short against Lincoln in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, falling 6-1. Can the Storm avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
