Softball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Norris' Fifth in Last Six Outings

After only two runs in their last contest, Norris made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lincoln East on Saturday. The Titans came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 12-7. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Titans' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Myra Carlow was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Macke, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Norris is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.

Norris has already played their next game, a 5-0 victory against Grand Island on the 27th. As for Lincoln East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-3 win against North Platte on the 27th.
