It was a good run, but Otay Ranch unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mission Bay Buccaneers.

Santiago Araiza was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

At the plate, Otay Ranch saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Ulloa, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Otay Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Mission Bay, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0.
