The White Oak Vikings entered their tilt with the Dixon Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. White Oak walked away with a 52-44 win over Dixon on Friday. For White Oak, this counts as revenge for the 29-27 defeat Dixon walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Denniyah Tanner was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 16 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kylie Stephens, who scored six points along with five steals.
White Oak's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Dixon, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
White Oak will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Swansboro at 5:30 p.m. Swansboro has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Dixon, they will head out on the road to square off against West Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully West Carteret focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Wednesday.
