The Hammond Tornadoes lost against the Fontainebleau Bulldogs back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hammond fell to Fontainebleau 53-48. Hammond has not had much luck with Fontainebleau recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Tornadoes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justin Harland, who scored 17 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Armstrong, who scored ten points.
Hammond's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Fontainebleau, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hammond will face off against Pine at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fontainebleau, they will head out on the road to challenge Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
