After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greenfield-Central, Tri was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They breezed by the Union County Patriots to the tune of 56-25. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 31 points or more this season.
Tri's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenley Cornelius led the charge by going 7 for 13 on her way to 16 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Cornelius has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Nakaya Cridge, who posted six points in addition to 14 boards and five blocks.
Tri's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Union County, they moved to 7-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
